Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about how the Top 100 AI Models ranking and the Million Pixel Canvas work.
Does paying for a bigger tile improve a model's rank?
No. Rank is computed from our published methodology before sponsorship data is applied. Sponsorship changes only the size of the tile and lets the sponsor add a tagline.
How often is the ranking updated?
Monthly, on the first business day. Each edition is archived.
How do you decide what 'useful' means?
We score capability, reliability, efficiency, accessibility and ecosystem, weighted toward what practitioners can deploy today. The Methodology page has full detail.
Can I submit a model?
Yes. Use the form on the How to Rank page. Models must be publicly testable.
Why is the canvas one million pixels?
The canvas reserves an equal minimum base tile for each ranked model and allocates the remaining pixels to sponsors in proportion to their contribution for the edition.
What does a sponsorship cost?
The Sponsor page lists the edition's cost per pixel. Individual payments and pixel allocations are not published.
Do you use vendor benchmarks?
No. Vendor-reported results are treated as claims to verify, not as inputs.
Who owns the model names and logos?
Their respective companies. We use names only to identify the products ranked and do not display vendor logos without permission.
